BluePulse is an anonymous, continuous student feedback tool in Blackboard. Instructors can poll students anytime, or set up a reoccurring question to check in on pulse of students throughout the semester. Watch a video about BluePulse >
Adding BluePulse to Blackboard
Click the + button above your Course Menu, choose Tool Link, and for "Type" choose Feedback (BluePulse). Give it a name and select "Available to Users."
Or, you add BluePulse anywhere in your course, by entering a content area, choosing Tools > More Tools > Feedback (BluePulse).
Once you add a link to the tool, click the link to enter Bluepulse. To initially set up questions, click the "Open this app in a new tab" link.
On the left side of the page, choose your course to begin building questions. Click Manage Feedback. Then on the top right, choose Add a Question.
Use and Viewing Results
Students can view and respond to questions directly in Blackboard, without needing to click the "Open this app in a new tab" link. You will need to let students know when a new question is available.
Instructors can view results and respond to students by using the icons below each question.
